Facilities support research in forests, urban environments and laboratory settings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Remote sensing and 3D surveys<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Equipment includes <strong>DJI Matrice 300<\/strong> for LiDAR acquisitions, <strong>DJI Mavic 3M<\/strong>, <strong>Zenmuse<\/strong> sensors and <strong>DJI Mavic Pro<\/strong>. Terrestrial 3D surveys use a <strong>FARO terrestrial laser scanner<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Forest inventories and dendrochronology<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Field equipment supports measurements of tree diameter, height, stand structure and regeneration, increment coring and tree sampling. Dendrochronological analyses use <strong>LINTAB 6<\/strong> and a <strong>WSL microtome<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Plant physiology<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>SPAD-502<\/strong>, <strong>FluorPen<\/strong> and <strong>LI-250Q<\/strong> are available for chlorophyll, fluorescence, radiation and plant-response measurements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Soils<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Soil equipment includes probes, augers and sampling devices, a <strong>drying oven<\/strong> and a <strong>\u221280 \u00b0C freezer<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Georeferencing<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Field positioning and georeferencing use <strong>Trimble TDC600<\/strong>, <strong>Trimble R2<\/strong> and <strong>Trimble Juno<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Scientific documentation and communication<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Forest Lab also uses a <strong>Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K<\/strong> for field documentation, teaching and scientific communication.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Forest Lab uses equipment for forest inventories, ecological monitoring, dendrochronology, remote sensing, soil analysis and audiovisual documentation.
