The project is funded within the National Biodiversity Future Center and aims to fill knowledge gaps on the presence, distribution, abundance and conservation status of species of Community interest. \u00b7 ForestLab\u2013University of Milan provides scientific and methodological supervision. Citizens and volunteers are trained to contribute to field data collection and to establish a permanent local network of \u201cBiodiversity Guardians\u201d. Activities include the development of a Monitoring Plan, selection of target species, volunteer training, field-monitoring campaigns and validation and synthesis of results.
