We analyse how vegetation, management, disturbance and restoration affect physical and chemical properties, soil carbon, soil biodiversity and the processes that sustain plant growth and ecosystem services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Research questions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>How do soil structure, carbon and biodiversity change after management or disturbance?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>What relationships link vegetation structure and soil functioning?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>How can ecological functions be restored in urban or degraded soils?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Approaches and methods<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>We use soil sampling, physical, chemical and biological analyses, and carbon measurements. Where available, we also integrate molecular data on soil biodiversity.
