eLTER PLUS developed and tested the European eLTER infrastructure for long-term ecosystem research, integrating sites, data and protocols at pan-European scale to study biodiversity, biogeochemical cycles, climate change and socio-ecological systems.

ForestLab investigated the effects of climate extremes and climate change on tree seed production using long-term time series from eLTER and MASTREE+. Analyses identified spatially differentiated climate responses and potential future changes in the synchronisation of forest reproduction.
