USEFOL – Ecosystem services in Lombardy forests

USEFOL developed tools for the integrated assessment of sustainable forest management, wood availability, carbon and ecosystem services in Lombardy forests, with case studies in Valle Camonica and Valtellina.

ForestLab contributed to biomass and carbon assessment and to the simulation of climate and management scenarios, integrating Forest Management Plan data, field surveys, GEDI, Sentinel-2 and models including WOCAS, 3PG and the Carbon Budget Model.
