URSOILL – Innovative Solutions for Sustainable Urban Soil Restoration through Living Labs

URSOILL develops and tests innovative approaches to urban-soil restoration through five European Urban Living Labs, integrating nature-based solutions, monitoring technologies and stakeholder co-creation.

ForestLab contributes to the Italian Urban Living Lab at Parco Nord Milano, investigating how afforestation and de-sealing can restore soil structure, carbon, hydrological properties, biodiversity and ecosystem services. A forest chronosequence is used to reconstruct changes in urban soils over time.
