ForestLab carried out two complementary studies in Campo dei Fiori Regional Park: support for forest recovery and hydrogeological protection after the 2017 wildfire, and assessment of future forest resilience to wildfire, drought, wind and climate change.

Activities integrated forest surveys, burn severity, erosion and sediment transport, fuel types, windthrow and drought vulnerability, and simulations of future vegetation and carbon dynamics. Results support intervention priorities and adaptive forest-management strategies.
